Q: What do I bring to the event?
A: You will need to bring your own computer and peripherals (mouse/keyboard etc) to the LAN. You will also need to make sure you bring your OWN 10FT Ethernet cable.
Q: Will there be a schedule for what games are going to be played?
A: Yes! We will have our entire game list up prior to the event so that all participants can know what to install and prepare for. Watch for updates!
Q: Are we required to play everything on the video game list?
A: No. There is no requirement for anyone to participate with every game on the schedule. Everyone has the option and freedom to play whatever they wish; with whomever they wish.
Q: When I go to purchase a ticket I see a”fee” associated with the sale. What is that fee?
A: As we develop our own payment processing for future events, we needed a solid payment processor that gave easy access and more payment options other than Paypal. Eventbrite’s Service Fee is: $2.37 for each ticket sold.
Q: Do you accept cash at the door?
A: Yes, we will. However, this does not reserve a seat for you. All tickets are sold on a first come first serve basis. Also, if you pay online prior to the event you can save $5.00! ($25.00 online $30.00 at the door)

Q: Is BearTrap Gaming registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization?
A: Yes we are! We are officially registered with the EIN 47-4070900 as a 501(c)(3) entity!
Q: Is there an age restriction to the event?
A: Yes. If you’re under 18 you will need to sign an event waiver (will be posted soon). If you’re under the age of 16 you must have someone 18 or older to be at the event with you. It is highly encouraged that parents advise & know that while we try to keep a fun & engaging environment, there is always some language & banter. Some video games on our list will also be ESRB Rated M. Which contains content not suitable for all ages.
Q: Are there any refunds after I have bought my ticket?
A: No, unfortunately we do not do any refunds.
Q: How does BearTrap Gaming help with charity?
A: We’re excited to participate with Child’s Play. A non-profit organization that purchases gaming equipment, or other fun gear for activities to children going through hard times in hospitals, and abuse therapy. Check out our about page
Q: If I show up later than the opening time, am I still allowed to play?
A: Of course! Come any time during the event to play with us. The only thing that will have locked times is our tournaments. Once the grace period for registration has passed there will be no more signups. To find out about our tournaments; watch for updates on our website and social media!
Q: Am I guaranteed to win a prize?
A: No. We cannot guarantee everyone will win something. However, everyone will have the opportunity and good chance they won’t go home empty handed!
Q: Can I bring two monitors?
A: No. Only x1 monitor is allowed.
Q: Is there a limit to how much power my computer can draw?
A: Yes. Everyone is limited to 650-Watts of power.
Q: How much table space will I get?
A: Everyone will have a 3’ x 2’ ½” of table space.
Q: How much of BearTrap Gaming’s profits will go to charity?
A: $5.00 per ticket sale, sponsor & community donations. We’re there to help others, and we want to keep helping for as long as we can!
Q: Can I bring my computer earlier than 9:00 AM on the day of the event?
A: No. Doors will not open for computer setup until 9:00 AM.
Q: Is there a Facebook page or other social media that BearTrap Gaming has?
Q: Can I bring speakers to share my Enya collection?
A: NO. Please make sure you have a headset. No personal speakers allowed. You will be asked to take them down if you did bring them.
Q: Is my personal computer gear, or prizes safe if I step out to get a bite to eat?
A: We will try to help as much as we can to broadly keep an eye out. However, it is every participant’s own responsibility to watch over their own assets.
Q: Is smoking allowed?
A: No smoking is allowed in the building. If you are wanting a smoke, please go outside and smoke 50 ft from the building.
